VIJAYA THAKUR

Vijaya P. Thakur is the Founder and Executive Director of Resolve Network. Ms. Thakur has worked on risk assessment and early warning mechanisms for genocide, post-conflict transitional justice, post-conflict reconstruction, and mainstreaming women's empowerment as part of peacebuilding. In her previous roles at Genocide Watch, Friends of the Congo, and the Genocide Intervention Network, Ms. Thakur focused on US Foreign Policy on genocide prevention and intervention, on conflict analyses, and on conducting conflict deescalation trainings for US State Department. Upon concluding program evaluations of United Nations and other projects in Eastern Congo, Ms. Thakur decided to adopt a community-based, micro-to-macro approach to peacebuilding in her own work, leading her to found Resolve Network in 2009.

EMMANUEL BILLAY

Program Manager

Emmanuel joined Resolve Network as a Program Manager in 2014 after previously working with Resolve as a conflict analysis consultant.  Emmanuel has previous work experience managing demobilization camps for ex-combatants, as well as experience working in the health sector. Emmanuel holds a Masters in Conflict Management, and has received training in disarmament, health management, and trauma healing.

LILY KRUGLAK

Reporting and Outreach Coordinator

Lily Kruglak began her work at Resolve as a Research and Development Intern in 2011 after graduating from Juniata College with a BA in Peace and Conflict Studies. Over the course of her tenure at Resolve, Lily was promoted to a Program Associate, working both in the US and DRC offices. Lily has additional work experience as a Monitoring and Evaluation consultant for the American Friends’ Service Committee office in Bujumbura, Burundi, and with the Georgetown University Institute for Reproductive Health, assisting in a research project on programs geared towards addressing sexual based violence in post-conflict societies. After completing her Masters in Conflict Resolution at Georgetown University, Lily rejoined the Resolve as the Reporting and Outreach Coordinator.
